Not a bad PPV from WWE at all, especially since the below average showings of Hell in a Cell and Bragging Rights. The Nexus/Cena angle may have been exasperated by this point, but the Barrett v Orton match is one of the stronger on the card, despite the fairly obvious officiating from Cena. The Edge v Kane World Championship match is a little weak, didn't seem as though the crowd got into it and they didn't click together as they have in the past. Bit of a shame.
The stand-out matches went to the younger kids on the block. Kaval and Dolph Ziggler was a great matchup, very much a back-and-forth affair, lots of variation in terms of moves and approaches and showcased Kaval's skills brilliantly. Maintained Ziggler as a great up-and-coming heel. The Bryan/DiBiase match was another strong bout. Morrison and Sheamus showed how well they worked together at the first big showdown over their 2 month feud and the elimination match was another pretty solid bout. Nice to see people like Tyler Reks getting some air time.

SURVIVOR SERIES 2010 MATCH RATINGS

1. DANIEL BRYAN VS TED DIBEASE (US TITLE) 3/5

A very good opener to the twenty fourth annual WWE Survivor Series. I thought
that both Daniel Bryan and Ted Dibease put on one of those matches that could
lift you out of your seat.

2. JOHN MORRISON VS SHEAMUS 3/5

Can't vouch for this match, but it looked amazing whilst watching some highlights.
Both Morrison and Sheamus put on the best match of their rivalry at the TLC PPV, where
they compete in one of the best ladder matches, that should be noted down as one of
the greatest ladder matches in WWE history.

3. DOLPH ZIGGLER VS KAVAL (INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE) 4/5

For me this was the match favourite at Survivor Series. I mean both superstars were
showing their true talent inside the ring. I mean Kaval was the high flyer of the
match, where he was showing the WWE universe, that he should be the Intercontinental
champion. Though Dolph Ziggler found the easy out, when he rolled up Kaval for the 1,
2 and 3.

4. TEAM REY MYSTERIO VS TEAM DEL RIO (TRADITIONAL SURVIVOR SERIES ELIMINATION MATCH) 3/5

Not one of the best Survivor Series elimination matches i've seen, but a worthy effort.
For missing the start of the match, the ending was pretty fast paced. With team captain
Rey Mysterio surviving alongside his giant partner the Big Show.

5. NATALYA VS LAYCOOL (2 ON 1 HANDICAP MATCH FOR DIVAS TITLE) 2/5

Ok but I would not say that this was a classic divas match. I was however mega pleased for
Natalya who won her first title match to become the new divas champion. We also see the return
of the Glamazon Beth Phoenix, who comes to the aid of Natalya, who is being beaten up by the
jealous Laycool.

6. EDGE VS KANE (WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE) 3/5

This was an ok match between the Rated R Superstar Edge and the Big Red Machine Kane, but
wouldnt go to say that this was a classic. More of Kane dominating the match with Edge fitting
in moves whenever he could. Was little disappointed with the ending of a double pinfall and Kane
still the World Heavyweight Chmapion, but loved the ending when Edge pushed Kane into a barricade,
with the aid of a wheelchair.

7. SANTINO & VLADIMIR KOZLOV VS HEATH SLATER & JUSTIN GABRIEL (TAG TEAM TITLES) 1/5

Very bad and not even going into greater detail about this match. I mean they could have
saved this match, for a slot on Monday Night RAW.

8. WADE BARRETT VS RANDY ORTON WITH JOHN CENA AS SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE (WWE TITLE) 3/5

Like the match between Edge and Kane, this was an ok match with a certain superstar playing
the part of being the special guest referee aka John Cena. Both Orton and Barrett played the
part of a little domination here and there, though was shocked at the ending when Cena called
the match right down the middle, to where Orton retained the WWE title, but Cena gets the word
of "Your Fired".

MATCH FAVOURITE: DOLPH ZIGGLER VS KAVAL (INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE)
WORST MATCH OF THE NIGHT: SANTINO & KOZLOV VS SLATER & GABRIEL (TAG TEAM TITLES)

Overall WWE SURVIVOR SERIES 2010 was an above average event, which is watchable and the DVD is worth it, for the exciting extra that involves the Miz, cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase, to become the new WWE champion.
