wwe wrestlemania 26 was the most emotional wrestlemania ever for me
we had bret vs vince to settle the score of the screwjob and the best match of the night the streak vs the career match
i never thought like at wm 25 none of them two would ever lose it was like them two will have to win at every wrestlemania
This is one of the greatest wrestlemania's ever
The streak vs career match
and teh match between the game and sheamus were awesome

Bret "Hitman" Hart Vs. Mr. McMahon This match will go down in history as the worst WrestleMania match of all time. This match took a man that was once a legend inside a WWE ring and made him into a joke. It took The Hitman - his entire family, a crow bar and at least a dirty dozen chair shots (of which he had to rest between handing them out) to even accomplish any sort of fight. I would even go as far as compairing his Wrestlemania 26 performance to an Attitude Era Mishap "GILBERG" Nuff - said! but having said that WrestleMania 26 also featured the second best WrestleMania match of all - time Undertaker Vs. Shawn Michaels. Given the previous years match this had alot to live upto and it gave its predessessor a run for its money just coming that bit behind in second but for shawns farewell match this was the perfect goodbye as in my opinion aswell as being the second best WrestleMania match of all - time behind its predessessor and just ahead of the WrestleMania 12 Iron man match this was also one of HBK's greatest performances and will serve as a lasting reminder of just how good HBK really was. All in all this blu ray is worth buying just to see how good of o match HBK - Taker was and how bad of a match Bret - Vince was.

The 26th Wrestlemania was a bit of a let down in my opinion:
One of the real eye catches was the Bret Hart vs Mr Mcmahon match which in the end was of very poor quality.
The two main title matches again were very average with no real highlight
The main event was intresting at first because it's not often if ever the WWE put a non title match as the main event at wrestlemania ( Didn't they used to say the winner of the Rumble gets a title match in the main event of wrestlemania?) Anyway it was very clear in this match that the WWE were trying to make it special and in quite truth they failed, all the wrestlers did were finishing move after finishing move all match, Mr Cole even had the nerve to call it the most anticpated match in wrestlemania history, well it wasn't.
One thing I do like about the Blu-ray disc in general is the Raw and Smackdown from the week before, I thought this was the best thing about this Disc.

I'm only going to review the matches that stood out as particulary good or bad on this one. As with any WWE blu ray release the picture and sound quality is stunning and the extra features are nice to have. The pre Wrestlemania Raw / Smackdown is a nice touch, I personally would have preferred the post Wrestlemania TV shows. But thats just me.
Undertaker V Shawn Michaels II was not as good a match as their previous Wrestlemania encounter in terms of the actual match and the build up but was still head and shoulders about the other matches on the card. The ending delivered an emotionally satisfying conclusion to both the fued and HBK's storied career, unless of course he sells out his name and legacy like Flair, Funk & Foley have.
MchMahon V Hart was quite honestly one of the worst Wrestlemania matches I can recall from memory. I am aware that Bret Hart is limited in what he can do in the ring due to the stroke and concussion, but in my opinion should both Hart & McMahon should have been in Cena and Batista's respective corners instead. A really tragic skid mark on an otherwise glistening career for Bret Hart.
Overall I'd give Wrestlemania 26 4/5 and the bulk of that comes from HBK & Undertaker. A closing thought is with HBK gone, Taker winding down are there enough big names to carry Wrestlemania 27 and beyond?

The biggest WWE event of the year with some anticipated matches, including the return of the Hitman Bret Hart, lets see how it went down.
WWE Unified Tag Team Championships
ShowMiz (c) vs. John Morrison & R-Truth
Fast paced and entertaining but way too short and it just ended at over 3 minutes, shame if they had more tim e this could of been great. Despite this the match did what it had to it got the crowd going and though it was instantly forgettable what little that was on show was good. 3/5
Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Ted Debiase
For the majority of the match this was a handicap match but Orton held his own giving a great performance in the mean time, still it is strange that the audience have taken to Orton it is strange to hear him being cheered. All 3 men gave a great performance but I feel this is the end of the legacy rivalry unfortunately still it ended on a high with some hard hitting offense. Even if I think the wrong man won. 3/5
Money in the Bank Ladder match
Christian vs. Kane vs. Jack Swagger vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. MVP vs. Matt Hardy vs. Evan Bourne
This was a great match, very inventive, with some great performances from Kingston, Kane, Hardy and Bourne in particular. However in jam packing this match with superstars it led to some stars doing very little McIntyre was hardly noticable and Benjamin gave his first forgettable performance in a MitB Ladder match. Still there were some very memorable moments and a suprise ending (not to say I thought it was the right ending). 4/5
Triple H vs Sheamus
This contest was a very good match which has elevated Sheamus way more than his WWE Title run did. Both me meshed well together to start what could be a good rivalry, an entertaining contest which got a suprising hype package before it and considering I was not looking forward to this match I was pleasantly surprised. 4/5
If Mysterio loses he must join the Straight Edge Society
CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio
One of my newest favourites CM Punk and the brilliantly attired Mysterio gave an amazing performance that was robbed of time that could of made this spectacular. The moves were fast, the strikes were hard and the counters were impressive. CM Punk and Mysterio could be the Mysterio/Jericho rivalry of 2010 judging by this brilliant start to their rivalry. It is just a shame the match was so short, CM Punk has a great future as a heel ahead of him. 4/5
No Holds Barred 12 Years in the making
Bret 'The Hitman' Hart vs. Vince McMahon
Comuing in nobody expected the Bret Hart of WM 13 but Vince McMahon was healthy and Bret could have surely had a proper match. Instead this fantastically hyped match concludes with this ugly, one-sided dross. Initially I thought what a great idea as Vince had bought the entire Hart family to turn on Bret Hart, however Bret announced his own screwjob and from the off an uphill battle against McMahon and his trechourous family was squandered to give way to a dull 13 minute McMahon beatdown. The special referee (Hart) had no idea of the rules (he started to count Vince out), only two weapons were used and overly at that (the chair shots delivered instead of looking brutal suggested Bret had run out of moves and considering he only used two in the entire match (punch, kick, sharpshooter) this is a sad statement. I will say that Vince was in great shape and took shots brilliantly for a 60 odd year old. Also the Hart Dynasty made a name for themselves. However this gave closure to the McMahon/Hart rivalry but left a bitter taste to what could have been a great brawl. 1/5
WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Chris Jericho (c) vs. Edge
A really good contest, well performed by Jericho and Edge whom gave it their all with some unique counters some good crowd heat and a truly unexpected ending. The aftermath was fantastic as well with a cringing manuever being delivered. It is a shame that Jericho and Edge was not hyped quite as well as the other main events but this professional and classy wrestling match made up for any lacking heat. 4/5
8 - Diva Tag Team match
Michelle McCool, Layla, Maryse, Alicia Fox & Vickie Guerrero vs. Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Eve Torres, Gail Kim and Beth Phoenix
This was a hurrendous match but one that was at the same time hillarious, Vickie was clearly out of her element botching a frog (or Hog) splash and even a pinfall attempt. However her incessent screaming and over the top reactions were hilarious to watch. In between her long ring time there was a diva finisher fest as well. So this was a terrible match but a funny one, however was the humour worth sacrificing some able and good Diva wrestlers. 1/5
WWE Championship
Batista (c) vs John Cena
This was a direct sequel to their thouroughly entertaining Summerslam 2008 match, their was some great hype going in but I still was unsure of what these two could produce again. Thankfully they delivered a great power wrestling match in which both asserted their will over one another. I will admit the ending was clear as day but their was a great audience atmosphere, the upcoming rematch should be even better. Very entertaining. 4/5
Strak vs Career No DQ, No CountOut
Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels
The best hyped and most anticipated wrestlemania match in years and possibly the Undertaker and maybe even Michaels' greatest match. This was a fast, spot-filled thrill ride that was emotional and exciting in equal amounts. The audiences were split and the masses were thrilled this was the true clash of the titans. To say it out did their last match is a strong statement but one that I consider true, the fact this was the last match says it all - epic. Both men could have lost I had no idea what would happen, this was true edge-of-seat stuff that created a final closing chapter on these two mens rivalry. This match stole mania and showed everyone how its done I loved every devoted minute of it and thjis should be watched by any WWE, heck any wrestling fan, as it marked the end of an era and the continuation of a legacy. In which after a truly emphatic finish Jerry Lawler closed the show with a short heartfelt sentence that almost, almost made up for the lack of Jr commentary. 5/5
Wrestlemania 26 was leaps and bounds ahead of last year in terms of moments and matches. However 2 matches were awful but forgivable for everything else. I will say that Michael Coles commentary was not good and the event missed JR. Still that was no fault of the talent WWE has produced the event to beat so far in 2010. 4/5

My review of Wrestlemania 26:
ShowMiz vs R-Truth and John Morisson: 2.5 stars.
Nice and entertaining while it lasted, but needed to be at least 6-7 minutes long.
Legacy triple threat match: 3.0 Stars.
Best when Orton was on offence honestly. Orton is so good it's not even funny though. Loved the turnbuckle pose with RKO graphics :)
Money in the bank: 3.0 stars.
A tiny bit better than last years, Jack Swagger winning was a bit of a surprise but I hope they show him some respect now as Mr. Money in the bank. Some fun spots and entertaining match. But I expected more from Drew?
Sheamus vs HHH: 3.0 stars.
A little better than I thought, a physsical match two strong bulls. Sheamus could have bennefitted from a win but, the guy is being pushed to the heavens regardless.
CM Punk vs Rey Mysterio: 3.0 stars.
Had this match been 5 minutes longer, a potential 4 star match. Great moves and a lot of high impact.
Bret vs Vince: 1.5 stars.
Weird and awkward, very anticlimatic. Sadly.
Edge vs Y2J: 3.25 stars.
Very good but not quite great. Loved the first Codebreaker counter by Y2J. Jericho may have gotten hurt for real by the crazy spear after the match!
Divas match: 1.25 stars.
"Hog Splash!" LOL that was epic. But it was decent for divas action. Everybody hit their moves which was nice to see.
Batista vs Cena: 3.5 stars.
Cena and Batista at their best, with a few mini botches, including a headache causing ddt to Cena by Dave. Ouch. But the match was very good and the crowd was very cool!
Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels: 4.5 stars.
This match is beyond terms like epic and classic. Taker's entrance was perfect and I loved the outfit so much. The match lived up to the hype and obviously had a great buildup. The match was just wonderfully executed, and it told a great story. I would have liked to see HBK selling 3 tombstones a little more after the match, but hey I understand that he was emotional, and he deserved a proud walk out from WM with his head high instead of limping and holding his neck.
This was a 7.5 show for me overall. It had only few bad things going on, and alot of the things on here were at least pretty good
