BARBARIC Mick Foley was a glutton for punishment the Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker is simply amazing from the top of the cell through the announce table and then Chokeslammed through the top of the cell to the ring canvas i dont know how he carried on to finish the match .There is also the brutal street fight against Triple H where he ends up Pedigreed on the thumb tacs not once but twice. The 3 faces of Foley also shows all of his fun and crazy characters off with my own personal favourite being Cactus Jack can't get the theme tune out of my head.

an awesome dvd. interesting documentary, nothing really that hasn't been explained or told before but mick foley is one of those characters with a colourful and interesting life and career. the match choices are top notch, this 3 disc one is definitely worth getting, if only because even though his heyday was the 1990s, he has had some exceptional matches on ppv in his sporadic appearances i.e. orton 2004

A Brilliant DVD!

If you are a fan of Mick Foley or a fan of hardcore matches, this collection is essential.
The first two Discs are hosted by Foley himself, adding more infomation to some matches
and some humour.

The First Disc contains some of his best matches from his WCW and ECW days, and a match from Smokey Mountain Wrestling.
This is the weaker of the three discs in my opinion, One or two matches are a bit dull in places
but that is because most of the other matches have so much action.
The match against Vader is good, you can hear Micks nose breaking and is a good way to start the DVD.
The ECW matches are good to, the tag match being good. Tommy Dreamer uses a VCR on Ravens head and Terry Funk throws a chair right into Ravens face, nobody throws a chair like Terry Funk!
The Extras on this DVD are plentiful and interesting, the matches are interesting, but it is
understandable why they are the extras and not featured on the main disc.

Disc Two is probably my favourite of the Three Discs.
It is the part of Foleys career that he will probably be remembered for, and damn right to!
Cactus jack vs HHH on Raw is a classic, as is the other Match they have at the Royal Rumble,
Mankind vs The Rock contains one of the biggest pops i have heard in wrestling and the other
matches on the Disc are pretty good to.
Unfortunately, the Extras on this Disc contain no extra matches, but they contain some good promos, the videos of Mick and Al Snow are hillarious and the early mankind promos are entertaining.

The Third Disc, makes the DVD alot more worth it.
Even though it only has four matches on it, 3 of them are classics. The I Quit match was good
but not as good as the other matches. What is even better about this Disc is that Mick Foley
and Joey Styles are doing the commentary on it (you can still listen to the original commentary).
The commentary is informative, interesting and pretty funny. The matches are good, but the added commentary is the icing on the cake.

Overall, this DVD is a must for Foley fans, not all of the matches on the set are good, but it
is only three or four that are missable, The original Two Disc set would be more suited to
people who prefer older wrestling, which the first disc is made of. But the added third disc is worth the larger price. This DVD is very, very good, one of my favourites and for any fan of Foleys or of hardcore wrestling this definatley worth the price!

Mick Foley and hardcore, go together like a cup and saucer. Mick foley has been through wars and has the scars to show for it. With matches from WCW, ECW and WWE this DVD is packed full of foley Hardcore goodness. Not a sensible purchase if you already have the two disc as there are only 4 more matches on the bonus disc and they can be found on other DVDs but hey Mick Foley is god and he's my uncle (my surname is foley too!! :) ) so you must buy this DVD

Fantastic DVD, but a nasty marketing ploy - if you own the 2-Disk edition, this is a travesty (why pay for another disk when you've bought two already? Silver Vision should make the extra disk be available to those who already bought the 2-Disk). If you have the 2-Disk, stop right here because the third disk isn't worth buying the package for alone. If you don't, however, then this review is for you.

Put simply, Mick Foley: Greatest Hits and Misses (H.C. Edition. :) ) is one of those 'wrestler collection' disks that does absolutely everything, and I mean everything, right. Mick himself is on hand to review the content and provide his thoughts and opinions (and like with his books, they are insightful and witty).

The matches are all pretty much top notch. There aren't any ones which you think 'why is this on the disk' - they are either very important to his career, or very good. Usually both! Some are much better than you expect (the tag match against the Nasty Boys is utterly stupendous, considering who is involved and what type of match it is), whilst others are as good as you remember (the Rumble match against Triple H remains one of my all time favourites). Others, if you have never seen them, are a total joy (I'd never seen the famous Mind Games match - it's really good. And the Orton match on Disk 3 is one of Foley's best, and is Orton's best still). There's a LOT of bloodletting (this isn't one for the children, but are you surprised?), and I found myself missing a few more gems of Foley's wrestling talent (and guys... Foley CAN wrestle, and wrestle darn well too!). I guess I also realised - like with the Undertaker DVD - that there were a lot of worthy Foley matches that didn't make the cut.

Speaking of matches that didn't make the cut... I really didn't need to see Hell in a Cell again (yes, you know which one I mean. :p). Rather, where are other matches that Foley actually pioneered - there isn't a boiler room brawl (The Undertaker one was a focal point for Foley's career, as well as 'Taker, and yet it isn't on any of their 'superstar' DVDs!). I think although the match wasn't very good, I would have liked to have seen the Pink Slip on a Pole Match here, for historical value. Same for the No Way Out 2000 Hell in a Cell - we've all seen the King of the Ring one, but the other one isn't here. It hasn't had the coverage it's due.

Saying that, something had to make it and I think their choice was excellent. The same goes for extras - I love extras on a disk. In many respects the whole third disk is an extra in of itself, but the extras are utterly packed around the first two disks too. There are commentaries (great idea! And Foley's commentaries on Disk 3 are insightful). There are promos. There are extra matches. There are all sorts of very, very cool stuff on here. I was happy enough with the two-disk edition but the third disk is yet more extra-ey goodness.

Overall, this is almost the perfect disk - it's just a shame that the marketing department got here first. It doesn't really matter - this is as good as it gets where Foley is concerned, so if you don't mind the more 'hardcore' element to your wrestling, you like genuine wit blended with intensity, and you adore some of the best promos in the business, this is your ticket to many hours of viewing joy. Buy it and you'll Have a Nice Day!

Great DVD. The 3rd disk is what really makes this great. Sure the first 2 disks are good but on the 3rd disk you get to see one of Foleys best matches ever (Randy Orton vs Mick Foley Backlash 2004). An amazing match that really was the start of Orton career. His hardcore match at wrestlemania with Edge is also a great match and the tag match at ECW one night stand are all on 1 disk. I would pay ?20 for the 3rd disk on its own the rest is just extra.

*WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS*

This is a set I have been going to buy since it came out, and I am glad I waited so long, as I was able to pick up the 3 disc edition for even cheaper than I would have got the 2 disc edition when it came out .

Disc 1

Cactus Jack Vs Vader

The match starts off slow, with Cactus and Vader exchanging blows. Vader gets the upperhand and begins to target the eye of Cactus. Cactus comes back and knocks Vader out of the ring, then clotheslines Vader over a guard rail. Vader looked like he was trying to flip over the guard rail (as he would with the top ropes etc), but the guard rail just fell, and Vader was lucky enough to get his arms out of the way before he landed on them.

They go back and forth some more, and Cactus is bleeding. Vader hits a Vader Bomb (I keep hearing it get called too different things lol, so I think that's right) from the second rope, but doesn't go for the cover, and Cactus continues to get up. On the outside, Vader goes for a Vader Splash to Cactus who is leaning on a guard rail. Cactus moves, Vader goes into the guard rail and gets hurt. Cactus does a flip from the apron, and vader is unable to get back into the ring, making Cactus Jack the winner via countout.

The match is slow and boring for the most part, with a dead crowd. Not what I was expecting from these 2.

Rating: *1/4

Cactus Jack & Maxx Pain Vs The Nasty Boys

A violent, hard hitting tag team brawl, and a damn good one at that. Plenty of spots in this match, including a piledriver attempt through a table, which breaks before they can do anything more than stand on the table .

Rating: ***1/2

Cactus jack Vs Sabu

Erm... yeah. It's hard to get into a match when you can't stand one of the guys in it (guess which one ). It was a decent brawl with some table and weapon spots, but nothing impressive. At least Sabu didn't botch everything...

If anything, the best parts of this match are when the match is over, and none of that counts towards my rating .

Rating: **1/2

Cactus Jack Vs Chris Candido

Its been too long since I last saw a CC match, and I had forgotten how good he was at selling!

Some great action early on, with Cactus being in charge, followed by Candido being in charge. Nice high flying move from Candido followed by a shot with a crutch. This seemed to anger Cactus, who comes back with huge punches to the face of Candido, but Candido uses his quickness to step out of the way of Cactus, who goes into the ring post.

Candido now works on the arm and shoulder of Cactus, but that doesn't last for too long. Cactus goes to the top rope, but Tammy grabs his leg, allowing Candido enough time to hit a Frankensteiner! Candido goes to the other top rope now, and misses with a splash.

Some fat guy comes out to the ring with Tammy, but Candido is knocked into him allowing Catus to hit a double arm DDT for the win.

Great match, with 2 styles mixing together very well.

Rating: ***1/2

Cactus Jack Vs Sandman

Foley himself said that this match is like a train wreck, and not good. Yeah, great choice for the DVD WWE .

This is a texas death match, and if I am right, the only way to win is to pin your opponent, then they have to stay down for a 10 count. If they get up, you have to pin them again before another 10 count can happen.

Match starts off more brutal than most matches like this, as Cactus repeatedly hits Sandman with a steel chair, and gets two 3 counts within about 2 minutes. Sandman manages to get up both times though.

Frying pan to Sandman's head, and he looks completely out of it, but manages to fight back. He throws Cactus into the guard rail head first a few times before they make it back into the ring, where we see an ATHLETIC move form Sandman!

They don't stay in the ring for very long, with a snapmare on the floor to Sandman, who manages to avoid a leg drop. Every time Sandman hits a move, he literally has to stop for a few moments to make sure he knows where he is lol.

Some more slow action with Sandman getting some moves in, then taking a break. Double Arm DDT on the chair, but Sandman kicks out, and hits a piledriver on the chair, but doesn't go for a cover. DDT on the chair to Cactus now, which gets a 3 count. Cactus doesn't get to his feet, instead Sandman breaks the 10 count, only to get beaten on with a cane.

Cactus jumps of the apron and lands on Sandman with the chair, but Sandman kicks out. Foley goes to the apron again, and throws the chair onto Sandman, then drops the elbow. 3 count, but Sandman gets up. Cactus hits a DDT on the floor and gets another 3 count, only for Sandman to get up again. This is the point where he wasn't supposed to get up, but because he was knocked out at the start of the match, he didn't know he was supposed to stay down . Another DDT on the floor, and he still gets up. This is followed by ANOTHER DDT on the floor, and Sandman finally stays down.

This match is violent, funny and sometimes hard to watch. I think it was a good choice for the DVD, due to the whole Sandman being out of it for the entire match.

Rating: ***

Cactus Jack & Raven Vs Terry Funk & Tommy Dreamer

This is a wild, bloody, violent tag team match. There is just too much that happens in this match for me to talk about without doing play by play lol.

I would just like to say, that I love the T-Shirt Cactus has on. It has a hug picture of Eric Bishoff on the front, and the words "forgive me, uncle eric" on the back. I would buy one .

Its hard for me to say much about this match because it really was a huge mess for the most part. It was filled with plenty of violence and not much else. It was still a solid contest though, but I would have liked it to have been less hardcore tbh.

Rating: ***

Cactus Jack Vs Mikey Whipwreck

This would mark the last ECW appearance for Foley, and the crowd were loving him, even though he was supposed to be the heel, and they hated Mikey (not sure if he was supposed to be face or not lol).

Some good hardcore spots in this match with tables and chairs, and a dive from the ropes to the first row by Mikey. We also see the mandible Claw in this match, but not as a finisher, and I'm not sure if it was something he had used before or not.

Nice neckbreaker to Mikey on the steel guard rail by Foley, followed by a spring board... thing by Foley, who ends up going back first into the guard rail. Mikey comes back now with a steel chair, hitting Cactus multiple times. There was a bit before this where Cactus uses the Mandible Claw, then fallows it up with his pulling piledriver and double arm DDT, and only gets a 2 count. Kinda makes all of those moves look weak on his way to WWF .

The action goes to the crowd once again, and Mikey climbs up a platform of some sort and lands on Cactus. He drags Cactus into the ring and goes for the same move from the tope ropes, but is met with a vicious elbow (that looks damn real lol). A couple of chairshots and a piledriver on the chair later, and Cactus jack is the winner in his last ECW match.

Very enjoyable in the last 10 minutes, and it was great to see Foley receive such a reaction from the crowd even though he was leaving.

Rating: ***1/2

Cactus Jack Vs Sting

"A sunset flip off the apron, oh my goodness!". That was a quote from Foley doing commentary on this match, and I have to agree with what he said. Who the hell would have though Foley could do such a thing? Well, tbh its not that much of a surprise as Foley always puts his body on the line to put on a great match.

This is probably as good as an 11 minute match can get, and even though it happened in 1992, it still holds up as a great short match. I can certainly see why Foley thought it was one of his best matches, and at the time his best match.

Rating: ****1/4

Cactus Jack Vs Sabu

This is the rematch that happened about 3 months after the first match. I didn't really like their first match, but Foley said himself that their first match wasn't their best.

Mr. Botchamania botches up big time in the first 2 minutes, with a spring board moonsault that was supposed to hit Cactus, but instead hits the steel guard rail.

Later on in the match, there is a similar spot to the one Sabu botched, but this time Cactus was on a table. To make sure nothing went too wrong, 911 and Sabu moves the steel guard rails back .

Just after that, Sabu has a bottle which is not "prepared" as a weapon for a match, and it just won't break! Cactus gets hit in the head about 6 times before the bottle finally breaks, and that HAS to hurt. Sabu gets a 3 count after it finally breaks.

Well, I would say its better than their first match, but its still not great. Fun to watch though.

Rating: ***

"Jack" Foley & Les Thornton Vs The British Bulldogs

This is Mick Foley's second career match, so I think rare is a good word to describe this.

Some good WRESTLING between Thornton and Bulldog to start the match. Well, I say start the match, but is happens for about half the match lol, as it is very short. Foley is tagged in as is Kid, and Foley gets beat on. Bulldog gets tagged back in, and hits his Running Powerslam, followed by his huge vertical suplex. Kid gets tagged back in and nails a HUGE clothesline on Foley, who got legitimately hurt from it. Bulldog gets back in the ring and hits a belly to back suplex from the second rope for the win.

Sort and sweet is all this match is. More rare than good, although there wasn't anything really bad about the match considering it went on for about 4 minutes.

Rating: **

Overall Disc Rating: 6/10

I will admit, this first disc isn't too great. The matches are more about being rare (second match etc) or significant (first match against Sabu etc). There are still some very solid matches, and 1 very good match, and some fun hardcore matches on the disc that make it worth watching. Add to that some amazing promos from the guy I consider the greatest mic worker in the business, and you have a pretty decent disc.

Disc 2

Mankind Vs Shawn Michaels

As good as some of Mick's matches have been, this is probably my absolute favourite Mick Foley match, and was his for a very long time too (I think the street fight with HHH in 2000 is now his fav).

Some people think that HBK is very repetitive in the ring, and whether or not you believe that to be true, this is an exception to that. This match is so different to any other Shawn Michaels match, and with Foley's great performance in the match added on to that, it makes it an amazing match.

I could go on and on about what happens in the match to make it so good, but I won't. If you don't know why this match is so good, go and watch it.

The ONLY thing that stops it from being the full 5 stars is the ended. Mankind was DQ'd when Vader came into the ring, but didn't actually hit anyone!

Rating: ****3/4

Cactus Jack vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley

A great way to debut Cactus Jack in the WWF. While it wasn't a high profile PPV match or anything, I feel that both men did a great job of getting Cactus over in the WWF with this enjoyable street fight.

Who would have thought that over 2 years later we would see them back in MSG for a street fight! While this is no where near the level of their RR 00 match, it does make good use of weapons, and the fans are loving Cactus.

Rating: ***

Mick Foley vs. Terry Funk

This was the first match that Mick wrestled as just Mick Foley in the WWF, and he did it against his good friend and mentor, Terry Funk. The match starts off a little slow and sloppy, but soon turns into a great brawl, one of the best I have seen in Raw's history.

The fact that Terry is 53 in this match makes it more impressive, as he does things in the match that most of the 20+ year olds wouldn't do, such as a piledriver through a table on the concrete floor, and the insane moonsault from the stands.

Really good brawl between the two, although I am aware that they have had way better matches in Japan etc.

Rating: ***1/2

Dude Love vs. Stone Cold

This was the first time I had ever seen this match, and after reading many people's reviews and ratings for this match, I was really looking forward to it.

This is an extremely physical match, both in and out of the ring. While they spend a good deal of time in the ring, they also spend quite a while outside the ring on the stage area, that was filled with cars. Both men took some nice looking bumps on the cars and the concrete floor, and I was surprised that Austin took those bumps considering his bad neck.

The crowd were hot for the match, which can always help, and both men do a great job of beating the hell out of each other. Innovative ending too, with Austin using Vince's hand to count to 3 while he was knocked out.

As Dude Love, Foley didn't really have any "good" matches, with the exception of this one, which is probably one of his best as well.

Rating: ****1/4

The Undertaker Vs Mankind - WWF King of the Ring 1998 - Hell in a Cell Match

*review from my Tombstone: History of The Undertaker DVD review*

While the HBK/'Taker HIAC was the first and best, this is the most famous. Why? Because one man puts his career and his life on the line to entertain the WWF fans like never before. Mick Foley takes risks that were unheard of in WWF at this point, and have really never been heard of since, unless it included himself (Jeff Hardy has done a few things too).

This is yet another match in one of my favourite feuds, and this marks over 2 years of an on again off again feud between these 2.

The match starts on top of the cell, and I'm sure if you watched it live you probably had a feeling something was going to happen. As they brawl on the top of the cell, they nearly fall through the top due to the weight. The Undertaker fights back against Foley, and then:

"GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY, GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY, THEY'VE KILLED HIM! AS GOD AS MY WITNESS HE IS BROKEN IN HALF"

The Undertaker grabbed Mankind and threw him from the top off the cell to the Spanish announce table 15 feet below. The sound it makes is sick. That one move has to be the most watched in WWF/E history. How Foley was able to move around afterwards and actually continue the match is beyond me (I do believe I have said that about Foley before in my disc 1 review).

The match stops for a few minutes (which is understandable lol), but before Mick is wheeled off the back on a stretcher, he gets up and runs back to the ring, then climbs the cell to once again face The Undertaker! The Undertaker hits a chokeslam, and the cage roof breaks and Foley falls about 13 feet to the hard ring mat! 2 HUGE bumps in a short amount of time, and Mick is continuing the match. AMAZING.

The Undertaker goes for "old school" and Foley actually mounts an offence! The camera zooms in on Foley in the corner, and claim he is smiling, but he has said before that he was actually trying to poke his tongue through the hole in his lip (where a tooth went though). Mankind tries to pick up the ring steps, but he got a dislocated shoulder and can't life them. So what does The Undertaker do? Slams the steel steps into Foley's shoulder, possibly putting it back into place lol

The Undertaker missing with a dive through the ropes, hitting the side of the cell. Now Foley actually has the advantage! A piledriver on a steel chair only gets a 2 for Foley, who starts to punch the open wound of The Undertaker, and leg drops the chair that he placed on top of that wound.

Mankind goes under the ring, and brings out a bad of thumb tacks! Like this match needed anything else! Mankind tries to put Undertaker through the tacks, but is unable. A tombstone attempt is reversed into a Mandible Claw, and nearly gets the win from it. The Undertaker gets out of the Mandible Claw, and stands up with Foley on his back, and falls backwards onto the tacks! Mankind just went back first into the tacks! What more is this guy going to do?

Well, if that wasn't enough, The Undertaker chokeslams him onto the tacks! This is then followed up by a tombstone (not on the tacks, thankfully), and The Undertaker gets the win.

What a violent and entertaining match. There is a reason this is the most famous Hell in a Cell match, and possibly the most famous match of all time. Mick Foley earned the respect of wrestling fans around the world for this match (well, the ones that had not previously seen him in Japan or ECW etc), for putting his body on the line to such lengths just to entertain them. If anyone does not respect Mick Foley for what he did every night to entertain you, the you are an arsehole plain and simple.

My original rating for this match was ***1/2. I always tried to not rate it just based on the 2 bumps and the fact that Foley nearly killed himself, but the fact that the match is so entertaining, and the action that takes place after the bumps is pretty good, I feel I should up my rating.

*edit for Foley DVD review*

I have once again upped the rating of this match, from **** to ****1/4.

Rating: ****1/4

Mankind vs. The Rock

This match is by no means the best match in The Rock/Foley series, but it is very worthy of being on the DVD, as it marks Mick Foley's first WWF title win.

The match is still very entertaining and still very solid, and it a great Raw main event, but if this was on PPV I would have been disappointed.

Austin comes out at the end to help Foley win the title, and the crowd literally doesn't stop "popping" from the moment Austin comes out to the end of the show with Foley running around the ring with the title. Great moment for Mick.

Rating: **3/4

Cactus Jack Vs Triple H - WWF Title Street Fight

*review from my Royal Rumble 200 DVD review*

First off, LOL at the anthology collection version. The hype video starts with about 2 seconds of the original theme music, then just cuts straight out to some generic crap. Then all of a sudden they go back to the original theme. FFS WWE, just put the original music on without me having to buy the tagged classics version...

OMG... WTF is that music used for Cactus Jack? It's F'ing horrible! At least Triple H gets to keep his music...

Anyway, the music isn't a big deal, its the match that counts. And boy is this a great match!

Since I had not seen any wrestling since October 97, it was really weird to see Triple H as the champ.

A long, exciting, violent, unbelievable match. Both men give it their all, and even though Cactus didn't win the belt, I don't think anyone was disappointed. This match instantly made me a Triple H fan as well as a Cactus Jack fan.

I have to say though, I don't remember the match being so long when I watched it live. And even though it was long, there were no parts that came across as slow or boring IMO, and because of that, it had to be considered one of the best street fights in WWF/WWE history.

Rating: ****3/4

Overall Disc Rating: 8/10

A GREAT disc. Two near 5 star matches, Two 4 star matches and multiple *** matches make this worth watching for definite. Mind Games and HIAC is enough reason to watch this disc! Not only that, but the Street Fight as well!

Disc 3

Mick Foley Vs Randy Orton

*Review from my Backlash 2004 DVD review*

For months, Randy Orton and Evolution had been beating the hell out of Foley. Now, finally, we would see Foley attempt to get some real revenge, by competing in a match that would allow Foley to use his strengths and hide his weaknesses.

I mentioned in my WrestleMania XX review that around this time I still considered Orton a little green, and although he was MOTM in his match at WrestleMania, I was still unsure about his performance in this match.

Luckily for Orton, it's pretty hard for anyone to have a hardcore match with Mick and it be a bad one. But let me say, this match wasn't good just because it was a hardcore match with Mick. Orton proved himself in this match, by taking the bumps he did. While I don't need or even want a wrestler to do some sick bumps to impress me, a lot of the fans these days do. For example, look how much everyone loved Hardcore Holly after his match with RVD on ECW (the one where he sliced his back open and continued wrestling).

Foley took some risks and bumps in this match, as was expected. He landing on some barbed wire a couple of times, and just when we thought he was going to get RKO'd on the thumb tacks, Orton takes his first major bumps in the match by being thrown onto the tacks himself. His reaction is priceless lol. Mick "rolled" him up just after to try and get a cover, but unlike a normal roll up, Orton was flat on his back like a normal pin cover, which was probably more painful with the tacks in his back. Not sure if Foley did it on purpose or not though...

About 2 minutes from his thumb tack bump, Orton takes his second bump of the match. Foley throws him off the stage and through a wooden box thing that just so happens to be there. If that wasn't enough for poor Randy, Foley takes a running jump and elbow drops Orton from the stage. Somehow Orton actually kicks out from all that, showing his "toughness" to all the fans.

Back in the ring, Mr. Socko makes an appearance for the Mandible Claw, but is reversed into an RKO. That wasn't enough to beat Foley, but a second RKO onto Barbie is the final nail in the coffin, and Orton retains his title.

A very good hardcore match. I've seen people rate it as high as ****3/4 when it first happened, but I think that's way too high. MOTN so far though.

Mick Foley Vs Edge

*Review from my WrestleMania 22 DVD review*

Yet again, Foley does the old "cuddly bear to sadistic bastard", but at least this was done well and the pay-off was amazing. Speaking of amazing, that's how Lita looked (as usual).

When I watched the match for the first time, I thought that Foley had put a bit of weight on. Of course, we soon find out that it isn't fat, but it is in fact barbed wire. Edge starts to beat down Foley with random sheets of metal, and sets Foley up for a spear. Edge rolls around in pain, which confused everyone, until Foley reveals the barbed wire wrapped around his chest. Pretty innovative, and reminded me of the Bret/Goldberg spot where Bret had a steel plate underneath his clothes.

So Foley is not in control and has barbie (barbed wire baseball bat), which is never a good thing. Lita tried to stop him by jumping on Foley's back, and we see the "Cactus Clothesline" as Joey Styles calls it, where Foley does a clothesline over the ropes and goes with his opponent. Lita goes over as well, as she was still on Foley's back, and she takes a pretty sick sounding bump.

Next spot it a hip toss to Foley on the steel steps, something we often see from Mick in these types of matches.

A couple of other spots, followed up with one of my favourite moves, the pulling piledriver, which Foley pulls of perfectly. Foley is then busted open thanks to barbie.

More weapons spots and brutal looking moves, before the most remembered moment of the night; A spear through the ropes to the outside through a flaming table. Awesome.

Foley finally got his "WrestleMania Moment" even though he didn't win.

Mick Foley & Edge Vs Terry Funk & Tommy Dreamer

Firstly, let me just say that I LOL'd for real during the first few minutes of this match. The commentary for all of the matches on this disc is by Joey Styles and Mick Foley himself, and at one point in this match Joey asks Foley if he has considered getting into the commentary business, and Foley replied with something like "well no, because as you can probably tell, I'm not that good at it". Of course, if you have been living under a rock, you will know that I found that funny because Mick Foley is now the colour commentator for Smackdown .

Chairs, a ladder, barbed wire, fire and great action make this one of my favourite hardcore matches ever. Foley did a great job. Edge did a great job. Tommy did a great job. Terry Funk did an amazing job. Lita & Bullah did a great job. There was nothing in this match that I didn't like. When Funk was taken to the back, I really thought he was seriously injured when I first watched it, because that is how good Terry is at making you believe.

If you haven't seen this match, then either buy this DVD or the ONS 06 DVD, or just download it, because you NEED to see it.

Mick Foley Vs Ric Flair

This is a match many of us had been wanting to see for years. Not just since Flair brought out his book saying that Foley was nothing more than a glorified stunt man, but from years before that when Flair pretty much held down Mick when he was booking WCW.

Foley does well in this I-Quit match, as he almost always does good when there are no rules. Flair is the one that really impresses me in this match, by taking shots with the barbed wire and being slammed in the thumb tacks. Flair isn't known for anything other than really wrestling a great wrestling match, and being busted open in most of his big matches, but not for hardcore wrestling. For Flair to do a hardcore style match like this as his age makes me have even more respect for the man.

Very bloody match, and pretty damn good, but not great. I don't blame either man, as Foley was not in great shape and his knees were really bad, and Flair was, well, old! The match is very enjoyable, and very good, and I liked the ending with Melina being the one to make Foley quit.

Overall Disc Rating: 10/10

Yes, I give this disc 10 out of 10. Why? Well, there is only 4 matches on this disc, and all of them are 4 stars and above. Its not often you get a comp where an entire disc is filled with matches of that calibre. Of course, having only 4 matches helps it out, as with more matches there would have been a much better chance for the quality to go down .

Overall DVD Rating: 8/10

A great set, filled with many many great matches, and some amazing promos form the guy I consider to be the best ever on the mic, as extras. Well worth buying IMO!
